Az Alkotmányvédelmi Hivatal, vagyis a magyar állam titkosszolgálata az elmúlt napokban a Magyar Hang három munkatársától kért felvilágosítást a hivatal épületében és végzett rajtuk hazugságvizsgálatot. Sorrendben Koncz Tamás újságírón, Lukács Csaba lapigazgatón és György Zsombor főszerkesztőn. Tudomásunk szerint a magyar demokrácia történetében még nem történt hasonló eset újságírókkal szemben.
Bár kértük, a poligráfos vizsgálat eredményét sem kaphattuk meg. Hiszünk abban, hogy az állami szervek kötelékében még dolgoznak hazájukért elkötelezett emberek, és a magánéleti kérdéseket is érintő vizsgálat részletei – manipulálva, elferdítve – nem kerülnek ki a kormányzati propagandasajtóba.
Az advent időszaka mindenütt a szeretetről és megbékélésről szól, ám a magyar kormány ezt is egy független újság lejáratására, újságíróinak vegzálására és megfélemlítésére használja fel. A lelkiismeretünk tiszta, nincs takargatnivalónk. Nem félünk és nem adjuk fel, de a hatóságokkal mindenben együttműködünk. A független újságírás – még akkor is, ha néha hibázunk – nem jelent nemzetbiztonsági kockázatot.
Arra kérjük olvasóinkat, újságíró kollégáinkat, valamint a magyar demokrácia és jogállam iránt aggódó polgárokat, hogy álljanak mellénk ezekben a furcsa időkben.

In recent days, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, the secret service of the Hungarian state, has asked three employees of the Magyar Hang (Hungarian Voice) for information in the office building and conducted a lie detector test on them. In order, Tamás Koncz, journalist, Csaba Lukács, director of the newspaper, and Zsombor György, editor-in-chief. To the best of our knowledge, there has never been a similar case against journalists in the history of Hungarian democracy.
Although we asked for it, we could not get the results of the polygraph examination. We believe that there are still people working for the state who are committed to their country, and that the details of the investigation, which also touched on private matters, will not be manipulated and distorted and published in the government propaganda press.
The season of Advent is all about love and reconciliation, but the Hungarian Government is using it to discredit an independent newspaper and to harass and intimidate its journalists. Our conscience is clear, we have nothing to hide. We are not afraid and we will not give up, but we will cooperate with the authorities in any way we can. Independent journalism, even if we sometimes make mistakes, is not a threat to national security.
